GetMyLinks ("we", "us") helps you create a public profile and share links in one place. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it. It is a starter policy for the site — have counsel review it before you rely on it for production or advertising.

Information we collect

  • Account data — username, email address, and password (stored hashed).
  • Profile content — bio, photo, company, and the links you add (these are public on your profile).
  • Usage data — login timestamps, approximate counts of visits/logins, and basic device type when available.
  • Communications — messages you send through Contact, plus emails we send for account confirmation or claim flows.
  • Security checks — reCAPTCHA may process interactions to reduce spam (subject to Google's terms/privacy policy).

How we use information

  • Operate and improve the GetMyLinks service.
  • Authenticate you, secure accounts, and prevent abuse.
  • Show your public profile and links to visitors.
  • Respond to support/contact requests and send essential account emails.

Public profiles

Content you put on your public profile (username, photo, bio, links) is visible to anyone with the URL. Do not post personal data you are not comfortable sharing publicly.

Cookies and local storage

We use session cookies for sign-in and may store preferences such as light/dark theme in your browser (localStorage). These are for site function and preferences, not third-party advertising.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may use infrastructure providers (hosting, email delivery, reCAPTCHA) that process data only to run the service. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the service and users.

Retention

We keep account and profile data while your account is active. You can request deletion by contacting us; some records may remain for a limited time for security, backups, or legal obligations.

Children

GetMyLinks is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Your choices

  • Edit or remove profile content and links while signed in.
  • Request account or data deletion via the Contact page.
  • Stop using the service and clear site cookies/local storage in your browser.
